This is the current problem with American politics: there’s no negotiating with the crazies.

“If you go back in history and see the other highways they’ve tried (to connect the countries), you see what happens…”

Yeah okay.

I wonder if this guy knows that Indiana privatized their state roads to a Spanish/Australian company. He’s also the author of a raft of bizarre bills, like this one.

And then there’s the Amero.

You can thank Daniel Carr for making them and then Hal Turner for making up elaborate conspiracy theories about them. The Amero never has been anything more than a novelty coin sold by a private business, albeit perhaps one with an intended message…

My goal with these coins is not to endorse a Union of North America or a common Amero currency. I fully support the United States Constitution, and I would not welcome (in any form) a diminishment of its provisions. I expect that these coins will help make more people aware of the issue and the possible ramifications. I leave it up to others to decide if they are in favor of, or against a North American Union. And I encourage citizens to voice their approval or disapproval of government plans that impact them. - Daniel Carr

Do Arizonans elect any smart people to office?
